Shari MacCallum- Certified Advanced Rolfer™

Dear Rolf Institute Colleagues,

I have been Rolfing for 32 Years and it IS the BEST job in the world. I graduated in 1992 and have been an Advanced Rolfer since 1997. That being said am writing to you to offer my service to the Board of directors of the Dr. Ida Rolf Institute.

I am a graduate of the University of Colorado B.A. in Communications and a Minor Kinesiology. I have successful practice in Denver, Northern Colorado and St. Paul Minnesota. I have studied and worked in Europe particularly in Italy. I have been a professional athlete ,which brought me to Rolfing. I have a national title in cycling from CU Boulder. I have been a professional ski instructor for Vail Associates, and equestrian athlete since I was 9 years old. I am still very active in all of these disciplines and I owe a lot of this sound enjoyment to Rolfing , and my education at the Rolf Institute.

I have served on the Rolf Institute Ethics committee.

I would like more education to the athletic community. I would also like to see a concrete educational program for the equine and canine. This is an opportunity that we have the talents and knowledge, The Rolf Institute can be the leader.

Through out my years as a Rolfer I have experienced Rolfing and the feed back from clients and other professionals. Some “know”of Rolfing but surprisingly many do not Really know “WHAT” is Rolfing.

As a teacher, business owner, and athlete, I know we can do better educating these communities. Educating and marketing our skills, advertising The Rolf Institutes classes and Programs, and why Dr. Rolf's work is unique.

If we do not have this connection, The Rolf Institute can not thrive.

I feel one of the most important things we can do right now for The Rolf Institute's success is educating and reaching out to the public. Public awareness and Public
Relations. This includes social medial, and AI. We Must stay current.

This will also help the Institute and practitioners build their business/practice.

Of course research and vision supports us.

We ARE the flagship of Rolfing/Structural Integration in which we set standards, ethics of practice, and high level education. Rolfing should be a household name and a “go to” when needed.

*Webinars for easier assess to continuing education
*Tools for best practices and building successful businesses.
* Research
* Support to help new practitioners talk and market their practice.

It is most important to me that the Rolf Institutes graduates are successful, the work continues to heal the world and the Legacy of Rolfing continues.
