Before you apply to study Rolfing® at the Dr. Ida Rolf Institute, please take a moment to review the following requirements.

We have Rolfing® programs open for applications from both experienced bodyworkers and those completely new to bodywork. All applicants must submit the following documents:
A high school diploma is considered valid if the institution is:
a.) Regionally accredited.
OR
b.) Registered with the State Division of Non-Public Education as a homeschool.
Note: For applications to classes held outside of Colorado, your diploma will be evaluated based on guidelines from the respective state’s department of education.
You must provide one of the following:
a) An official academic transcript (equivalent to an AA degree or occupational certificate) showing at least 60 credit hours at an institution of adult or higher education.
OR
b) Documentation of a minimum of four years of equivalent career experience and professional accomplishments.
Please note: Rolfing® Certification students are not expected to have had any prior experience with bodywork, massage, or Rolfing Structural Integration, but if you do, you may include it in your resume.
Students who plan to transfer hours into the program are required to have prior training in massage or bodywork and are required to provide proof of clinical experience.
When looking for professional references, you can consider people who have worked closely with you and can speak to your professional abilities.
Some examples of people you can ask to be a professional reference include:

The length of each letter should not exceed 1-2 pages.
As part of the admissions process, all students are asked to provide an essay on the topic of their life experience and preparation to engage in bodywork and the field of Structural Integration. Specifically, essays should address your personal life experience and how past achievements and challenges have prepared you to adapt, learn, and be successful in the DIRI Rolfing SI program.

Please indicate the need for an I-20/M-1 Visa and submit your completed application, including a copy of your passport ID page and official TOEFL scores, no later than 60 days before the class start date.
Note: Only students attending the Rolfing®Certification Program in Lafayette, CO, are eligible to receive an I-20/M-1 Visa.
In addition to submitting the documents listed above, all applicants must receive the following Rolfing® sessions:
Applicants must provide proof of completion of a full Rolfing® Ten-Series from a Certified Rolfer®.
DIRI reserves the right to require a physician's release for any student.
Three Rolf Movement sessions with a Certified Rolf Movement Practitioner® must be completed by the end of Phase II of Rolfing® training. At least one must be completed before the start of Phase II.
