The Mission of

- To select, train, and certify qualified and competent practitioners of the Rolf Method of Personal Structural Integration.
- To provide continuing education for practitioners of the Rolf Method of Personal Structural Integration.
- To promote programs of research in the Rolf Method of Personal Structural Integration.
- To educate the general public concerning the principles of structural integration and the useful and beneficial nature of the Rolf Method of Personal Structural Integration.
The Rolf Institute of Structural Integration (RISI) was founded by Dr. Ida P. Rolf, in 1971, in Boulder, Colorado. Dedicated to the scientific investigation and clinical evaluation of structural integration, the Rolf Institute offers rigorous academic and experiential certification training, based on the study of structural integration.
The Institute has centers in Europe, South America, Australia and Japan, the European Rolfing Association is located in Munich, Germany and Brazilian Rolfing Association is located in Sao Paulo, Brazil. The Australia Rolfing Office is located in Darwin, Australia.
RISI's high standard for candidates, students-in-training, and Rolfers are reflected in its Code of Ethics, Standards of Practice, and continuing education trainings.
The Rolf Institutes of Structural Integration collectively are the only schools worldwide that train Rolfers and Rolf Movement Practitioners. Only graduates who maintain their affiliation in good standing with The Rolf Institute are licensed to refer to themselves as Certified Rolfers and Rolf Movement Practitioners. Certified Rolfers are the only professionals who provide Rolfing to the public
Research
